hello, baby bump!

the sisters & i did some shopping this weekend - of course! it's what we do.

i noticed while standing in the dressing room hallway how massive my belly looks all of a sudden! i've definitely popped in the last few days, and i feel like baby girl has dropped.  i'm 36 weeks-2 days now.  today is the first day i've really "felt" the end of pregnancy.  i'm so tired and my legs & pelvis are super sore after kate's wedding yesterday.  i think that's to be expected though after a long day on our feet & in heels no less. last night when we got home from the wedding everything in me throbbed and my feet were swollen for the first time this pregnancy. but today the swelling is less which is good. trying to keep my feet up & rest as much as i can while i have family in town to help me these last few days. i feel like she could come any day now...so exciting & a little bit scary!!

our beautiful kate got married yesterday!!! it was the most perfect day & they threw an amazing FUN party after the ceremony.  sooooo glad baby girl stayed put through the wedding weekend, i was afraid she would make an early debut & i would miss the wedding. i woke up this morning more sore than i imagined but i did dance my LEGS off at the reception and wore heels for most of the day, so i think that's to be expected at 9 months pregnant :)

non-stress test, almost 35 weeks.

i had to have a non-stress test for babykins today, when her heart rate was in the 180s during my OB visit. seems she was just feeling peppy & hyper, because all checked out okay (basically they just want to see her baseline heart rate return to normal - 140-150s).  thankful all looks good!!  i never had to have one of these with my pregnancy with B, guess this little one is more hyper (GREAT, haha!).

congrats to daddy on graduating with his mba!!! we got a sitter last night, and baby girl & i danced the night away celebrating him.  so proud of his huge accomplishment!

book reading.

daddy is gone a lot right now finishing up his mba & working, so it's just me and bubba a lot in the evenings.  i'm tired by end of the day, late in pregnancy, so we have found lots of fun quiet things to do together. thankfully brady LOVES to be read to, so we sit in his playroom a lot reading together and the time together & snuggles are precious.  love how he's holding onto my hand in this pic.

last shift.

i worked my last shift at the hospital today!  at least until the fall, IF i decide to go back. i'm not sure yet. part of me can't imagine not working as a nurse, having that part of my life come to a close (even for a season).  i've been a nurse for almost 13 years!  but then the other part of me wants to be at home, raising my babies, and soaking up as much as i can of this season of my life too. i waited a long time to have these littles and i don't want to waste that opportunity to slow down a little and raise them myself, not have them be with sitters for such long days.  so, time will tell.  i'll decide this fall when my maternity leave is over.  but for now, i'm grateful to have the next few weeks until baby sister arrives free from work shifts.  i'm excited to work on her room, prep for kate's upcoming wedding, and soak up time with my little family of three before we grow!

a sprinkle for baby!

my sweet friends hosted the most beautiful little baby sprinkle this weekend, to celebrate baby girl. jen hosted at her house & we had the best time. it was really laid back...beautiful decorations, such good food & drink, and the best part was that i just got to sit around and visit with my friends.  we talked for hours!  i got some really fun presents - mostly clothes & blankies for baby. so excited to put them all away in her room!
